I hope everyone had a good new years? I came back to canters for mine, we went out about 7 (which is damn early for me!) had quite a few drinks and ended up in the cherry tree, where I actually spent the turn of the year on the loo, peeing! I was desperate!
I also destroyed my thumb on the 31st December. The TV fell on it and since then I've not really been able to feel it, combine that with the pins and needles and the intense sharp pains I was having that nice when I touched it lightly, I'm slightly worried! I don't often cry at pain (cos it'll give me a killer of all headaches!) but fuck me was I welling up on Monday!
New years resolutions anybody? I wanna complete a Zelda game but thats a little sad. I hate gyms so I'm not loosing weight. I think cutting down on wheat and dairy could be a good one, ie not eating it at all. Its not helping my stomach!

The worst thing about staying with family was the suit of armour in the entrance hall/dining room, it was horrible! I kept thinking there was someone standing there! It had a sword and all! Apparently that came out for a sword fight on christmas day! :S
Ah dear, I feel this site needs some work! I'm off to Canterbury tomorrow but expect a nice new layout for the new year :)

Did everyone have a great christmas? I sure did! It was a little lonely with just the three of us and really quite sad, for our christmas lunch, we had turkey but only a crown which was tiny. Still we do tend to go overboard with the present buying! Especially my dad! I got three cards this year, sadly, one from Rhys (no I'm not wearing the badges) one from the rents and a fucking massive one from Mark. It blocked out all the light in the room! *lesigh* he knows me far too well! Shaun the sheep DVD, Ratatoullie book, Maltesers, Cuddly Yoshi and the cutest softest little bear ever! Sadly my parents know me too well too, A James Martin Cookbook (chosen for the amount of pictures! I love James Martin but I'm also wanting to start on food photography so I'm collecting ideas!) Some electric scales (for which we have no batteries!), sugary sweet things which will be a great help for fuel on my lovely new wii :)
Ah yes, the most demanded console over christmas :) They ordered it from Germany so the instructions are foreign but who reads those anyway! At least the plug is British. Most of yesterday was spent in a small room with a 42" tv and hyper parents beating me at tennis, I owned them at bowling though! They love the thing they kept coming in to play it all of yesterday and as I speak my mums jumping up and down owning the cpu at tennis!
They also bought me Zelda and Mario Galaxy, which I've hardly had a chance to play since they've been on it! I'm adoring both though until I get stuck on one. I've already managed to pull a muscle from zelda, I get all panicky when an enemy comes to attack me so I just shake both controllers until it dies! It took me HOURS to learn to fish though, I just hope its not a main feature of the game.
I suppose a game review will have to surface soon, but I'm off to see family tomorrow and friends the next so I'm gonna be cut off from my precious wii, least I have a DS!
I hope everyone had a good christmas and didn't pull any muscles!

I had a bit of a scary experience last night. I sat down to the computer after having avoided it the previous day (long depressing horrible making Han miserable/poor story there) and I smelt burning which after a while it got a lot worse. I look down at my laptop and out of the corner of my eyes there's a small orange flame coming from the corner of my laptop where the power supply plugs in. I ripped it out and unplugged it from the wall but boy was I scared! If my parents hadn't bought me a stand for my birthday I surely would have set fire to my beautiful desk. (I made it!)
So today we went to the apple store - thankfully there's one nearby now otherwise we'd have had to go up to London! Christmas eve I wasn't expecting much but we were very lucky in that there wasn't that much traffic or indeed people.
We went into the apple store and managed to get an appointment with a genius for fifteen minutes time! I told him about the power supply and that I'd been having issues with my battery for a while.
1. Its health suddenly went from 80% to 20%.
2. It doesn't recognise the charger sometimes.
3. It cuts out at 40% battery when not using the charger.
He seemed to fill out a lot of paper work and tada new battery and power supply. I hadn't noticed my battery was swollen and we all know what happens to swollen mac batteries! :S My macs from the batch that had all those problems a few months ago - I thought I'd escaped it but apparently not!
With regards to the charger the plastic had split and wires were protruding the new one I've got has a longer wire bit so here's hoping it doesn't split like my old one, if yours is split and fraying - get a new one!
But its all fixed now under warranty and yay for the three years coverage I took out!
After my little bit of excitement for the day its my time to say Merry Christmas to everybody and hope you have a good one tomorrow. Me I've seen the turkey for tomorrow and its the same size as the joint we had on Sunday for two, tiiiiny! Christmas is a sad affair in our family, its just the three of us - but we do buy each other awesome presents - I hope my rents like theres!

Secondly have some mistletoe :)
I know I'm going to be making good use of it as the boyfriend is on his way here as I type! I can't believe its only been four days and already I'm going mad! I keep trying to hold the hands of whoever is standing next to me, its kind of embarrassing, especially when I try to bite them!
Chocolate Banana Cupcakes tomorrow people, its a scheduled post I'm certainly not going to be spending the next week on the computer!

I took it into electronics today and to my horror their advertising of "we have unlimited maya" is bollocks, theres 2 machines running it and their in the post grad room, so I had to redo my bunnies fur and make it plain white, grr.
But still its done and it looks terrible! I couldn't do my trees, my grass or my fur so I had to settle for textures which are awful. ugh.
Now that I know how to model though I'm wanting to try out a person or something - so thats my afternoon sorted.

Yesterday was awful and amazing all at the same time! We'd been told last week we had to decide by today whether we were staying in the house or not, we'd decided that we'd stay and that we'd have months to find a fourth person. Yesterday my friend called me (while I was topless in a changing room) to tell me this couldn't happen and we had to find someone that day or move out.
At this point I was wetting myself, not only did I not have a costume for my friends birthday but I also had a job interview that afternoon, albeit an informal one but I was still incredibly nervous. (The job is perfect for me - more on that later!) and I had to find someone who'd be willing to live with us in less than a day!
We went up to speak to the other girl whose moving in and we had a few options in terms of 3 rooms going in houses and people looking to move I suggested a guy on my course who I didn't think was going to move in, but I asked him anyway:
me: "Hi how're you"
him: "I'm fine, how're you"
me: "good, do you um know what your doing next year"
him: "no"
me: "How do you fancy living with us?"
him: "ok"
and that was it! We're signing the contract on Sunday/Monday!! How awesome am I!
Then the interview! The office is less than five minutes walk from my house, its above a really nice cafe, has a pretty little garden and best of all they use Macs! They also have a cat wondering around tehe (and a lovely little dog even if I'm not much of a dog person!) Its quite a small team of people but I could see myself learning a lot there. I walked in and the first thing I see is my portfolio on a massive flatscreen monitor *shudders* I did it in an evening!
The guy was very nice he said I had one of the strongest CV's but tbh I think thats because he had very high expectations from my course! (note nothing from my course except the flash portfolio from earlier this year has made it into my CV!) I think I know whose the other strong CV is - it'd be awesome if we both got the job (cos he could walk me through the scary alleyway!)
All in all a fantastic day after its awful beginnings. (I didn't mention the mornings events but needless to say I was a bit of a state - yay for my Mark though <3)

Isn't it awesome! I have quite a lot of ratatoullie things in my room now! My lecture notes (if I take any!) are in a Ratatoullie notebook, I have a massive poster and now an advent calendar! I love that film!
I'm getting into the christmas spirit - slowly! I bought some cake decorations for the christmas cake, which this year will be oooey gooey chocolate! I'm doing a snow scene with children throwing snowballs...it could be interesting! I might make a gingerbread house too but it could be a bit difficult!
I've even decorated my desktop.
Wallpaper Credit gfx-sheepTomorrow I'm listing the best christmas wallpapers :) Mac users get your christmas tree here!
